Distinguished Young Woman of South Carolina

The 2014 Distinguished Young Woman of South Carolina is Michelle Troup, from Piedmont. Through her participation in our program, Michelle earned 6 separate awards, for a total of $5,800.00 in cash scholarships and the opportunity to advance to the next level of competition.

Michelle's achievements include: Salutatorian of Powdersville High School • Governor 67th Palmetto Girls State • Westpoint Leadership Award 2013 • PVHS Student Body President • Patriot Scholar GPA 4.0+ (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) • 2012 & 2013 PVHS Lady Tennis Most Dedicated Player • PVHS Lady Tennis MVP & Team Captain (2011-2013) • State HOSA 2nd Place Forensics Team(2013 & 2014) • Region 1-AA/All Region Team 2011, 2012, and 2013 • HOSA Outstanding Chapter Member 2014
