1960 - SALLY EISENBERG, Winston-Salem

1961 - DARLENE BRIGANCE PATTERSON, Charlotte: named Miss Congeniality at America's Junior Miss; BA from Guilford College in 1965.  The former teacher and interior designer lives and works with husband Wayne in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. The couple owns a NASCAR marketing company and paints and designs mural homes.  They have three children and three grandchildren.

1962 - BRENDA NASH MATTHEWS, Charlotte:  Graduated from Mercy Hospital School of X-Ray Technology and Duke University School of Nuclear Medicine.  She is currently the Staff Nuclear Techologies at Charlotte Memorial Hospital; resides in Clover, SC and has one daughter.

1963 - JUDY BROWN WOODARD, Charlotte: Winthrop College graduate with a degree in Home Economics and Interior Design; owner of a gift and stationery shop in Charlotte for 29 years, The Buttercup.  Resides in Charlotte with her husband and has three grown children.

1964 - CAROL ANN PATRICK, Goldsboro

1965 - CAROLYN CAMPBELL WARD, Charlotte:  UNC-Charlotte graduate with degrees in Biology and Spanish.  She is currently an Advertising Director of three international publications and resides in Mooresville with her husband and two daughters.

1966 - PAMELA ROBERTS, Asheville:  a finalist at America's Junior Miss; BA in Psychology and Music from Duke University; MM Music from Yale University; graduate studies in Cinema from University of Southern California; Executive Producer for Georgia Public Broadcasting; received 2005 Emmy Award for "Best Public Affairs Program."  She also writes and produces social documentaries. She resides in Decatur, GA.

1967 - ANNE JACKSON BENJAMIN, Ft. Bragg:  graduate of UNCG and received JD from Hofstra Law School; resides in Manhasset, NY with her husband, Donald, where she is an attorney for Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C.

1968 - KATHRYN GENTRY CATES, Timberlake:  works for Central Carolina Bank and lives in Hurdle Mills with her husband and two children.

1969 - SUSAN ROWE DAVIS, High Point:  UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with a Music degree; taught elementary and high school.  She resides in Wake Forest with her husband a daughter.

1970 - SUSAN TEW OCADA, Roxboro:  Graduate of Meredith College and holds a Master's of Education from NC State.   She was recognized as North Carolina's Outstanding Young Educator in 1982.  She has one son and resides in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

1971 - VIRGINIA ROGERS HICKS, Roxboro:  Master's Degree in Home Management/Interior Design from UNCG.  She is a designer/sales coordinator for Carolina Builders and resides in Apex with her husband and son.

1972 - ANGELA LOMBARDI MOORE, Burlington:  received BA degree in English and American Studies from UNC-Charlotte; designer and Chairman of Angela Moore, Inc., an international company specializing in hand painted jewelry, home and fashion designs; she resides in Rhode Island with her husband, Gary.

1973 - SUSAN PEARCE LOCKE, Greensboro:  graduate of UNC-Greensboro with Fine Arts and Drama degree; Aesthetician License from Atelier Esthetique, NYC.  Susan has been involved with the skin care business for 28 years.  She owns Bella Mia Skin Care in Advance and resides in High Point with her husband and two children.

1974 - STACEY LUNSFORD PRILLMAN, Roxboro:  Wake Forest graduate with a Business degree.  She continued her studies at Emory, USC, and Columbia.

1975 - SHARON LEE MANESS, Greensboro:  Owner and Director of Performing Arts for the Sharon Maness Dance Center.  She resides in Winston-Salem with her husband.

1976 - JOY FINCH REESE, Kinston:  Brighan Young University graduate with Elementary Education and Music degrees. She is a full-time mom and resides in Kinston with her husband and four children.  Her niece, Andrea Finch, was the 2003 AJM!

1977 - VIVIAN (VICKIE) LEIGH PACE SMITH, Pleasant Garden:  1st Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss.  She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Psychology dgree.  She is a full-time mom and is renovating an antebellum home in Efland with hopes of running an event-based business on the proprety.  Vickie resides in Chapel Hill with her husband and two daughters.

1978 - DEBORAH SOLOMON VENABLE, Winston-Salem:  1st Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss.  BA in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill; former Director, Health Careers & Diversity Management MAHEC; currently working as the Volunteer Coordinator for Isaac Dickson Elementary School, the Experiential Magnet School in Asheville, NC; resides in Asheville with her husband and daughter.

1979 - LEGENA LOOKABILL GREENE, Charlotte:  named 2nd Runner-UP at America's Junior Miss; graduated with honors from UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology/Dramatic Arts; became professional actess, singer, model and dancer; travels as a Christian speaker and resides in Indian Trail, NC, with her husband.

1980 - DIANE BARFIELD HOUSTON, Kinston:  Troy State University graduate with a BS in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology.  She received her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from SCSU and is a school and private speech pathologist.  She resides in Centenary, SC with her husband.

1981 - KIM SMITH YANDOW, Raleigh:  America's Junior Miss and the winner of Overall Awards for Poise and Creative & Performing Arts; studied dance in New York City; extensive career as a dancer and choreographer; resides in Orem, Utah, with her husband and 10 children.

1982 - MARY FRANFORT HEAD, Kinston:  UNC-Chapel Hill graduate; currently living in Asheville with her husband, five sons and daughter.

1983 - BETH GRAY CANTERBERRY, Cary:  graduated from NC State with a degree in Chemical Engineering; received a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Louisville; currently resides in Stockton, NJ, with her husband and is a full-time mom of 3 sons.

1984 - KIMBERLY PIXTON HORNER, Jacksonville:  attended NC State where she was a member of the National Champion cheerleading squad.  Lives in Charlotte and coaches the Carolina Panthers cheerleaders.

1985 - SUSAN WADE SPANGLER, Kinston:  received Overall Creative and Performing Arts Award at America's Junior Miss; graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Business; owns a rental business; resides in LaGrange with her husband and three daughters.

1986 - RENEE DANIELS COLLINS, Fayetteville:  Summa Cum Laude graduate of Methodist College; Math major with a minor in Education; currently the principal of District 7 Elementary School in the Cumberland County School system; lives in Fayetteville with husband, son, and daughter.

1987 - AMY YOUNG, Asheville:  received degrees in English and Theater Studies from Yale University; earned a certificate in drama from Oxford College in England; is an actress living and acting in Los Angeles under the name Bellamy Young.  She is currently playing "Ellen Darling" on ABC's "Dirty Sexy Money" and has a new website www.belamyyoungonline.com.

1988 - JULIE PADGETT LINDSAY, Rutherfordton: N.C Teaching Fellow graduate of UNC-Greensboro with degree in Middle Grades Education; resides in Greensboro with her husband and two sons.

1989 - HEATHER WHITAKER GOLDSTEIN, Asheville:  graduate of Duke University and George Washington Law School; received preliminary awards in Scholastics and Interview at America's Junior Miss; resides in Asheville; Executive Director of the Jewish Community Center; married and has two sons.

1990 - TANYA JAP DUPONT, Rocky Mount:  received a B.M.Ed from UNC-Chapel HIll; MBA from Boston University; director of the Dana Hall School of Music in Wellesley, Mass, where she lives with her husband, son, and daughter.

1991 - BETSEY JONES MOONEY, Greensboro:  received a BA with Honors in Political Science Phi Beta Kappa from UNC-Chapel Hill; received JD degree from University of Virginia School of Law; currently Associate General Counsel at Washington University.  She lives in St. Louis, Mo., with her husband, son and daughter.

1992 - RAINBOW CHEN, Wilmington:  received Scholastic Achievement award at America's Junior Miss. Graduate of Stanford with a Master's degree in Organizational Behavior and a BA in Human Biology.  She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she is in marketing and communications and does career coaching for MBAs at the MBA Career Management Center, Stanford Graduate School of Business.

1993 - SANDY DUNCAN YORK, Mooresville:  graduated from Duke University with a degree in Biology; received a Master's degree in Sports Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.  She is currently the Director of Donor Relations and Special Eventts in Arts & Science Development at Duke University.  She resides in Durham with her husband, Aaron.

1994 - COOPER PARHAM BRATTON, Kinston:  a finalist at America's Junior Miss; graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill in Broadcast Journalism; lives in Raleigh with her husband and children.

1995 - SHARON BEAMAN DEES, Rocky Mount:  UNC-Chapel Hill graduate with a degree in Communications; currently lives in Rocky Mount, NC with her husband, Frank.  Sharon and Frank are the directors of Youth On Mission, a Christian based non-profit organization that plans short-term mission trips for churches, youth groups, and Christian schools.

1996 - KRISTIN NICOLE DAVIS, Roxboro:  received a BA in English from Meredith Dollege with certification to teach grades 9-12 and currently pursuing an MA in Education from Meredith College.  She teaches high school English and Journalism and resides in Raleigh.

1997 - CASEY NOBLETT CALLAHAN, Winston-Salem:  named 2nd Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss; graduated from New World School of the Arts in Miami; the owner/director of N-House Productions, a company that brings top choreographers to dance studios across the U.S. for workshops and conventions; lives in Roswell, GA with her husband and daughter.

1998 - MARY FLETCHER PENA, High Point:  named 2nd Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss; graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. She received her MBA in International Business in 2005, while living in the Netherlands.  Currently resides in Durham with her husband and is attending law school at UNC-Chapel HIll.

1999 - LAUREN TEEL SCOTT, Tarboro:  received a preliminary award in Fitness and named 1st Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss; graduated from NC State with BS degrees in Biochemistry and Biological Sciences with a Minor in Genetics.  She graduated from the Sherman College of Straight Chiropractics and has a practice in Raleigh, NC where she lkives with her husband.

2000 - KENNEDY LAWSON, Kinston:  graduated from UNC-Chapel HIll with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Creative Writing.  Currently enrolled in law school at the University of South Carolina.

2001 - CANDACE WOOTEN-REED, LaGrange:  was named a finalist at America's Junior Miss' won overall Fitness and Poise awards as well as a prelimiary Talent award; received a BS degree in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University.  Currently resides in Ypsilanti, MI with her husband.  She graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with an MS in Physician Assistant Studies.

2002 - ALISHA HAGERLING-EAR, Asheville:  graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio State University with a BFA degree in Dance Performance and is currently pursuing a career in professional modern dance performance in Boston.  In April, 2005 she married her high school sweetheart who is an ensign in th U.S. Navy.

2003 - MELISSA CHRISTINE MANNING, Mooresville:  graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor's degree in Dance Performance and minor in History;  worked in Japan as a professional dancer for Tokyo Disneyland; returned to the states to pursue a performance career in New York City.

2004 - LAUREN ELIZABETH MELTON, Kinston:  named a Top 10 Finalist at America's Junior Miss; attends East Carolina University najoring in Exercise Physiology with plans to become a Physical Therapist.

2005 - HOPE LU, Greenville:  1st Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss; won Overall Talent and Interview and a preliminary award in Scholastics; attending Duke University pursuing a degree in Political Science and Marketing, as well as a Biology major but fulfiliing Pre-Med requirements.  Career interests include medicine, policy, and law.

2006 - MOLLY BALES, Rocky Mount:  was in the top eight at America's Junior Miss where she won preliminaries in Scholastics and Self-Expression.  She is currently attending Harvard University majoring in History and Science.

2007 - JANE DENSMORE CHAFFEE, Greenville:  won a preliminary award in Fitness at America's Junior Miss; attended UNC-Chapel HIll and is now pursuing a career in dance.

2008 - HELEN CHING, Cary:  was named 1st Runner-Up at America's Junior Miss and received a preliminary award in Talent.  Currently attending UNC-Chapel HIll pursuing a career in Pediatric Dentistry.
