Belle by Day; Cowgirl by Night

The AJM Class of 2008 will visit Mobile’s famous Bellingrath Gardens on Tuesday morning for a breakfast at 7:45 am. Joining the participants will be the AJM Board of Directors and the 2008 host fathers. The contestants will have the opportunity to tour the gardens and will take their official AJM Class of 2008 photograph.

After the breakfast, the Junior Misses will begin their preparations for the 51st Annual National Finals with wardrobe fittings and their first group rehearsal with choreographer Gia Solari.

The contestants will learn to line dance with their host families on Tuesday night at the USS Alabama Battleship Hangar.

The participants will have the opportunity to win a share of $150,000 in scholarships and the title of America’s Junior Miss 2008 at the National Finals on June 26-28. The program will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. June 28 on WPMI-TV 15's Web site, www.nbc15online.com. Major sponsors for 2008 are the City of Mobile and Mobile County. Category sponsors are Alabama Power, Encore Rehabilitation, Mobile Gas, Regions Bank, and Wintzell’s Oyster House.
