AJM Lindsey Brinton Takes Part in 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl
John Parker Wilson and Antoine Caldwell are not the only college students you’ll find at the Senior Bowl this year. Harvard student, Lindsey Brinton, aka America’s Junior Miss 2008, has also been invited to participate in the 2009 Under Armour Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 24.
Lindsey will take part in the pre-game ceremony and game week activities, and will perform at the 2009 Senior Bowl Hall of Fame Induction Reception presented by Mobile Gas and Regions Bank.
Lindsey won the title of America’s Junior Miss during the 51st AJM National Finals on June 28, 2008 in Mobile, Alabama, where she also won a total of $62,000 in cash scholarships. Lindsey is currently studying biomedical engineering at Harvard. She has been playing piano since she was very young and has performed in five of the seven continents as well as at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Founded in 1957, AJM is the oldest and largest scholarship program for high school senior girls. The nonprofit program’s goal is to honor young women who excel and encourage them to obtain a college education and assume roles of leadership in their communities and professions. During the past 50 years, AJM has awarded cash scholarships totaling more than $90 million to girls across the nation. More than 700,000 college-bound young women have competed in the program. Annually, AJM provides more than $33 million in cash and college scholarship to the nation’s top high school females.
