Nora Celebrates Veterans' Day

Nora Ali visited Mobile in November to join in the Veterans' Day Celebration sponsored by the Mobile Veterans' Day Commission. During the celebration, Nora attended the VIP Elephant Dinner and waved at bystanders during the parade. Nora attended the luncheon in honor of Veteran John Gray (picture right), spoke to children about the Be Your Best Self program at the Friends of Freedom Celebration and performed God Bless America during the concert and fireworks show that evening.

AJM is proud to continue the tradition of celebrating Veterans' Day in Mobile, and Nora was excited to be part of the festivities. “The reason that my parents came to the U.S. was to improve their lives and to provide their children with the greatest opportunities possible,” she explains. “I am grateful that I can honor those who helped to shape our country."

Nora will return to Mobile in January to participate in the GMAC Bowl festivities.
