AJM Participates in Chili Cook-Off

On March 3, AJM Staff and Volunteers participated in the Annual Chili Cook-Off in Mobile's Bienville Square. The "cooks" fired up the burner at the crack of dawn, and with the help of a friend who just happens to be a REAL chef, we stirred up some chili that included a few odd ingredients (chocolate anyone?!) and served it out to a huge crowd, who all seemed to enjoy our tasty brew. We may not have walked away with a prize, but we did walk away with an empty 15-gallon pot, and that tells us one thing... out AJM Kentucky Derby Chili was a true culinary delight! The event, which raised money for the American Cancer Society, was a great way to spend a beautiful spring day and to help a very worthy cause.
