Lindsey Joins Girl Scouts

AJM is proud of our long relationship with the local Girl Scout troops, so Lindsey was excited about the opportunity to visit the Girl Scout's national office during her trip to New York City. Lindsey toured the national offices and met many of the staff during her visit.

Since Girl Scouts is now encouraging older girls to join the organization and become leaders in their own communities, they invited Lindsey to join in the fun. During the visit, Lindsey Brinton became a girl scout!

We look forward to opportunities to work with Girl Scouts in the future.

Trish McEvoy Provides Makeup and Includes Lindsey in Webcast

During Lindsey's visit to New York City, she stopped by for a short visit with one of AJM's sponsors, Trish McEvoy. Trish spoke with Lindsey about her accomplishments and was so impressed, she invited Lindsey to join her for one of the organization's webcasts.

Trish McEvoy came on board as a sponsor during the 51st AJM National Finals and is the official makeup provider for AJM. During the prelims and finals, makeup artists from Trish McEvoy helped the contestants prepare for the shows. Lindsey received a full makeup set from Trish during her visit and will continue to receive makeup throughout the year.

Lindsey Spends Time with Past AJMs

Meeting past Junior Misses is always fun, and during her visit to NYC, Lindsey did just that. She had dinner with former AJMs, Tyrenda Williams (America's Junior Miss 1997) and Kiersten Rickenbach (America's Junior Miss 1995). The young ladies enjoyed dinner together and shared about their own experiences with AJM. Lindsey enjoyed meeting Ty and Kiersten and hopes to be able to stay in touch with them both throughout the year.

Lindsey also met Julie Blume, (New Hampshire's Junior Miss 2000) who is currently on tour with Parsons Dance in NYC.

Lindsey Meets Diane Sawyer During Good Morning America Interview

Lindsey visited the set of Good Morning America for an interview with guest host, Jeff Smith, on Wednesday, July 9. During the interview, Lindsey received a surprise greeting from AJM's own, Diane Sawyer. Diane congratulated Lindsey on her accomplishments and spoke briefly about her experiences as America's Junior Miss 1963.

Lindsey Makes an Appearance on MTV's TRL

Lindsey visited the MTV Studios on July 8th for a pretaping of one of the weekly Total Request Live shows. During her interview, the show's host, Damion, talked with Lindsey about the AJM program but was at a loss for words when she told him she would be attending Harvard in the fall (Go Lindsey!) She had a great time meeting the studio guests and watching up and coming bands perform on the TRL stage.

The episode aired on MTV on Thurs, July 10 at 3pm eastern.

Lindsey Brinton on CBS Early Show

Lindsey visited the CBS Early Show on Monday, July 7, for an interview with Harry Smith to help promote AJM and the Be Your Best Self program. During the interview, Lindsey talked about her plans to attend Harvard and become a biomedical engineer, and Harry asked her about her extracurricular activities in high school: basketball, tennis, ballet, piano, etc.
