52nd AJM National Finals Media Schedule

The 52nd AJM National Finals will take place on June 25-27, 2009. The AJM Class of 2009 will arrive in Mobile on June 15 and will begin preparations for the program. We encourage the media to come out and support the girls as they participate in events within the Mobile community.

	AJM Arrival Ceremony
	Monday, June 15 - 6:00pm Mobile Regional Airport Join the Girl Scout Troops, sponsors, host families and friends as we welcome the AJM Class of 2009 to Mobile.
	Bellingrath Gardens Tour
	Tuesday, June 16 - 8:30am Bellingrath Gardens AJM Class of 2008 enjoys a breakfast and tour of the historic gardens.
	Camp Grace
	Tuesday, June 16 - Afternoon Camp Grace in West Mobile AJM Class of 2009 will participate in team buliding activities and ropes courses before enjoying dinner with the special needs campers around the camp fire.
	BBQ & Line Dancing
	Wednesday, June 17 - 6:30pm USS Alabama Junior Misses kick up their boots and learn to line dance.
	Be Your Best Self Day Sponsored by the Junior League of Mobile
	Thursday, June 18 - 9:30am Goodwill Easter Seals, St. Mary's Home & Gulf Coast Exploreum Junior Misses are divided into 3 groups to give back to the Mobile community and teach the Be Your Best Self program. Event sponsored by the Junior League of Mobile.
	Mardi Gras Picnic Party
	Thursday, June 18 - 6:30pm Fort Conde Junior Misses enjoy a picnic with their host families and sponsors from the Mobile community - Mardi Gras style.
	AJM Mardi Gras Ball
	Friday, June 19 - 7:00pm Mobile Muesum of Art Junior Misses are escorted by the Conde Cavaliers and dance the night away with young men from the Gulf Coast community as they experience one of Mobile's oldest tradiations.
	Meet & Greet Autograph Session
	Saturday, June 20 - 7:00pm Belair Mall Watch the Junior Misses interact with and sign autographs for the Mobile community. Great opportunity for individual interviews.
	Isle of Dauphine Beach Party
	Sunday, June 21 - 4:00pm Dauphin Island Did you know some of the girls have never seen a beach before? Junior Misses enjoy a sandcastle building contest and shrimp boil.
	Wintzell's Oyster Eating Contest
	Monday, June 22 - Noon Wintzell's Downtown Junior Misses attempt to break the record of oysters eaten set by Maryland's Junior Miss 2008!
	AJM Night at the Hank
	Monday, June 22 - 6:00pm Hank Aaron Stadium See the Junior Misses and their Girl Scout Troops in the Field Parade of States before they sing the national anthem and throw the first "50 pitches" to start the BayBears game.
	AJM Community Night
	Wednesday, June 24 - 6:30pm Mobile Civic Center Sneak Peak of the National Finals show; Get to know the "Has-Beens"
	52nd National Prelims 1 & 2
	Thursday-Friday, June 25 & 26 - 7:00pm Mobile Civic Center Class of 2009 compete in fitness, talent and self expression. Preliminary awards presented.
	State Specialties Party
	Saturday, June 27 - Noon Mobile Convention Center Enjoy specialty food items from each of the 50 states. Great opportunity for individual interviews with Junior Misses, Has Beens, state program volunteers, and others.
