Our 2009 Connecticut's Junior Miss is Lauren Morrissey, from Newtown. In our competition, her performance earned $500.00 in cash scholarships and, of course, the opportunity to compete at the next level of Junior Miss competition.

Lauren's achievements include: Top 5% of Class • National Honor Society • National Spanish Honor Society • American Mathematics Achievement Award • Student Government (Junior and Senior Class rep) • High Honor Roll (Grades 9-12) • NEASC guide to help school accredidation process • UCONN Academic Achievement and Leadership Award • Fairfield University Presidential Scholar • Villanova University Dean Scholar
