Our 2009 Alaska's Junior Miss is Johanna Soderlund, from Fairbanks. In our competition, her performance earned 4 separate awards, for a total of $1,950.00 in cash scholarships and, of course, the opportunity to compete at the next level of Junior Miss competition.

Johanna's achievements include: Andrew Carnegie Scholarship, Carnegie Mellon • Boston University Performance Scholarship • University of Alaska Scholar • National High School Honors Orchestra (ASTA) • All Northwest Orchestra, First Violin • Alaska State Solo and Ensemble Command Performance • LHS Orchestra Leadership Award • Voted LHS Orchestra Most Inspirational Member, 3x • Strings International Concerto Competition Winner • LHS Student of the month
