Our program began in 1977. We have had local programs and participated in the At-Large programs off and on throughout the years. Beginning with the 2003 St. Clair County Junior Miss Program, we have held local programs annually.

A group of local volunteers visit all the schools in St. Clair County and encourage young ladies in the 11th grade that will be graduating the following year to participate in the local program.

Our local program is based on the national program's theme of "Be Your best Self." We strive to assist each and every young lady that participates in our program to be her best self and in the process have fun earning scholarship money.

Local community leaders team up with our program as a celebrity waiter for our annual fundraising event. A local restaurant, Bowling's Bar-B-Q, sponsors the meal and we have an evening of fun as our participants, little sisters and celebrity waiters serve customers and the generous tips our supporters give are the actual dollars we award for scholarships on program night.
