Our 2009 Shelby County's Junior Miss is Alexandra Fredrick, from Birmingham. In our competition, her performance earned 5 separate awards, for a total of $6,500.00 in cash scholarships and, of course, the opportunity to compete at the next level of Junior Miss competition.

Alexandra's achievements include: Young Womenhood Recognition (for church) • Who's Who Among American High School Students • Member of National Honor Society • Member of Mu Alpha Theta • Invited to Congressional Student Leadership Conf. • Recognized in the Duke Talent Search • Nominated for National Young Leaders Conference • Super Scholar of Shelby County PSAT Scholar • Nominated National Youth Leadership Forum/Medicine • OMHS Geometry and Theatre 1 Student of the Year
