America's Junior Miss 2008
Lindsey Brinton of Utah won the title of America's Junior Miss 2008. Lindsey won a total of $54,000 in cash scholarships at the national level, which includes preliminary awards in scholastics, interview, fitness and talent. She plans to attend Harvard in the fall to pursue a career in biomedical engineering.

First Runner Up
Helen Ching of North Carolina (pictured on left) won first runner up to America's Junior Miss and a total of $26,000 in cash scholarships. Helen won a preliminary award for her talent, a martial arts form and weapons demonstration. Helen will attend the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in the fall with plans to become a Pediatric Dentist.
Second Runner Up
California's Jackie Rotman won second runner up (pictured on right) during the 51st AJM National Finals, winning a total of $20,000 in cash scholarships. Jackie won a preliminary award for scholastics and satellite awards for her Be Your Best Self essay and the Wintzell's My Town Award. Jackie will be a student at Stanford in the fall and lists social entrepreneurship and human biology as her career goals.

Spirit of Junior Miss

Each year the 50 Junior Misses vote on the young woman among their class who they feel represents the Junior Miss spirit. Though this award has no effect on the overall scores, the Spirit of Junior Miss award is a honor from your peers and is awarded during the AJM National Finals. The AJM class of 2008 chose Alabama's Norma Boyd to receive the Spirit of Junior Miss award for 2008. Dee Ann Allen presented Norma with a $1,000 cash scholarship from the AJM Alumnae Council.

Contestants were given Verizon camera phones to upload digital photos during their 2 weeks in Mobile. Family and friends of AJM were asked to visit the WPMI website and vote for their favorite photo album. The winning photo album belongs to Norma Boyd of Alabama. Norma received a $1000 cash scholarship from Verizon Wireless for her photo album.
